Low operating costs

  of the spare parts an up to five times higher life time
  of nozzles and cathodes can be achieved.

  of nozzles and cathodes in addition.

. High labour safety through shock-proof with safety
  shut-down at cutting withhand torches and key-operated
  switch to avoid inadmissible starting.
. Control of the plasma gas, the thermal cycle and the

Plasma cutting and plasma gouging - two technologies
with only one machine

. Plasma gouging for preparation of welding seams,
  crack and inclusion removal, cast iron cleaning,
  surface removal and more, preferably with the plasma
  cuttingsystems PA-S30 WH, PA-S40 WH, PA-S25 W and PA-S45 W.

. Kjellberg plasma torches PB-S25 WH and PB-S45 WH can be
  reset from the version for plasma cutting to the application for
  plasma gouging and vice versa in a few seconds.

. There need to be replaced nozzle and protection cap only.
  With this concept a high availability of the system is
  guaranteed.The hose bunch lengths of the plasma torches
  come to 6 m or 10 m in series.The excellent ignition character
  of the plasma arc allows the use of optional
  up to 25 m hose bunches for the plasma torches.


Compared to gouging with carbon electrodes, a host of
technological advantages result, i.e.:

-no effected zone of the material.
-no grinding.
-lower heat penetration and therefore lower warpage.
-good observation of the process performance.
-noise level and smoke accumulation reduction.
-Mild steels are favourably treated with air as plasma gas.
-for high alloyedsteels and aluminium are Ar/H2/N2/
 mixtures to be used.
